Call Me Crazy…

…Most people do!

I could have sworn I already posted this card when I did my other bleach technique cards. But I can’t find it anywhere on the blog. I actually liked it too. Now that I think of it, I believe I posted it over on Splitcoast Stampers and forgot to add it here.

AND… since we seem to have been  hit by the flu around here, I’m looking for easier ways to do things. I don’t know how many of you know who Dave Barry is, but you ought to google something like “Dave Barry Martian Death Flu” and read his column from years ago about getting the flu. My biggest take away was his assertion that scientists have been correct all along about the air being made up of tiny little molecules. He knows this because when he got the flu, he could feel them banging into him one at a time! Ever since then, I’ve found that when I have the flu, the ony safe haven is taking a bath. Molecules can’t get to you in the water. Now so far I feel pretty good, but my son was told he had the H1N1 virus and is feeling pretty rough. Personally, I like the name my six-year-old grandnephew called it. When he got sick, he told his grandma that he had the “Slime Flu.” I think that’s closer to the truth.

This card was done with mostly bleach stamping with a little overstamping to go with it. There’s a trick to stamping words with bleach. You have to be careful to get a fairly small amount on your stamp to get a clean image. Bleach doesn’t always like to cooperate. :) Another word of advice, if you want to do overstamping as shown on the wheat, be sure to let the bleach dry completely or dry it with a heat tool before you use the darker ink on top of it or it will… fade. Not quite the desired look you want.
