Thanks with a Peacock
Hi Stampers,
I’m all for recycling things whenever possible. That’s a new term for what my mother has been doing for about 90 years now. She never threw away anything…ever…for all those “just in case you need it” moments. She never met a twisty tie or plastic bread bag or a National Geographic magazine that didn’t deserve eternal storage. So I’m afraid some of that has rubbed off on me. I have more paper, stamps, do-dads, and embellishments than I could ever use, and I seem to be incapable of throwing away gift bags — no matter how ratty they get.
Well, today’s card uses a part of a gift bag that has peacocks on it. Stampin’ Up! has a cute little thank you set called Very Thankful (Item #115338) and one of them features a peacock stamp, so I teamed them up for this card. The best thing about this set is that Stampin’ Up! supports the Ronald McDonald Houses by donating a portion of the proceeds to them.
Gable Green and Billiant Blue cardstock form the base of the card. I stamped the peacock on our clear window sheets.
